The recruitment offers a total of 2 vacancies across two specific project positions.

Candidates having post graduate degree with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Master degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13-07-2015 and OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dt. 09-10-2015 of the Council and OMSR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30-01-2019.
2. Young Professional-II (1 post) under PPV&FRA Project on DUS Testing of Broccoli β‚Ή42,000/- Per month (consolidated) Master’s degree in Vegetable Science/ Horticulture/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Biotechnology.

ICAR IARI Eligibility Criteria

Post Qualification Required
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Master degree in Vegetable Science/ Horticulture/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Plant Biotechnology with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Master degree require NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as per specified Council and DST OMs.
Young Professional-II Master’s degree in Vegetable Science/ Horticulture/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Biotechnology.

Desirable Qualifications: For SRF: Experience in handling field experiments, crop data recording, and basic statistical analysis, PCR, qPCR analysis, Tissue culture, biochemical analysis. For Young Professional-II: Experience in handling vegetable crop and data recording related to DUS testing, basic statistical analysis, laboratory work related to PCR and biochemical analysis.

ICAR IARI Age Limit

Minimum age is 21 years for both SRF and Young Professionals. Maximum age is 35 years for SRF as on the date of interview (with age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & Women, and three years for OBC). Maximum age for Young Professionals is 45 years, with relaxation as per rules.

ICAR IARI Salary

Young Professional-II β‚Ή42,000/- per month (consolidated)

House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be given as per existing Central Government rates applicable in various cities/locations for the SRF position.

Selection will be made by a duly constituted Selection Committee through a walk-in interview.

  2. Submit the duly filled application proforma and declaration form along with scanned, self-attested copies of the original supporting documents.

ICAR IARI Important Instructions

  • Applications will be screened, and only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be informed by email regarding the date and time of the offline interview.
  • At the time of the interview, shortlisted candidates must produce original copies of all relevant documents for verification.
  • No TA/DA or any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
  • Concealment of facts, submission of false information/documents, or canvassing will lead to disqualification or termination of candidature.
  • Candidates having near or distant relatives employed in ICAR/IARI must declare the name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in the prescribed declaration (Annexure-II).
  • Currently employed candidates must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer.
  • Selected candidates shall have no claim for regular appointment, absorption, or continuation in ICAR/IARI after completion or termination of the project.
  • All data, materials, know-how, or intellectual property generated during the tenure shall vest with ICAR-IARI.
