UPESSC Assistant Professor Selection Process

Selection for UPESSC Assistant Professor posts is based on a merit list prepared from a 360-mark written examination and a 40-mark interview.

  • Duration of the written examination is 2 hours.
  • Each correct answer carries 3 marks; 1 mark is deducted for a wrong answer or multiple answers marked for a single question (negative marking).
  • Candidates are shortlisted for interview based on written examination marks; being called for interview or merely appearing in/passing the written exam does not by itself entitle a candidate to final selection.

  • College allotment/preference (Adhikaranata) for appointment is decided by the Director of Higher Education, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj.
