Yadgir District Court Eligibility 2026
Typist (5 posts)
- Passed second PUC, or a 3-year diploma, or an equivalent examination, by the application deadline.
- Passed the senior grade typing examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board in both Kannada and English, or a diploma in commerce, or an equivalent examination, by the application deadline.
Typist Copyist (4 posts)
- Passed second PUC, or a 3-year diploma, or an equivalent examination, by the application deadline.
- Passed the junior grade typing examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board in both Kannada and English, or a diploma in commerce, or an equivalent examination, by the application deadline.

Yadgir District Court Selection Process
Typist & Typist Copyist
- A typing proficiency test is conducted – candidates type a 15-minute dictated passage in both Kannada and English on a typewriter/computer, as directed.
- The proficiency test carries a maximum of 100 marks each in Kannada and English; a candidate must score at least 50 marks in each language to qualify.
- An interview carrying 10 marks follows for qualified candidates; final selection is based on marks obtained in the interview.
Process Server
- Merit rank is based on the percentage of marks scored in the SSLC or equivalent qualifying examination.
- Candidates are shortlisted for interview at a ratio of 1 post to 25 candidates (1:25), based on highest marks, for each category of vacancy notified.
- The interview carries 10 marks; final selection is based on marks obtained at interview.
Peon
- Merit rank is based on the percentage of marks scored in the SSLC or equivalent qualifying examination.
- Candidates are shortlisted for interview at a ratio of 1 post to 10 candidates (1:10), based on highest marks, for each category of vacancy notified.
- The interview carries 10 marks; final selection is based on marks obtained at interview.
Selection for all four posts is made through direct recruitment under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules, 1982, as amended in 2007 and 2021. Selected candidates undergo a probation period of 2 years under the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977, extendable if required.
How to Apply for Yadgir District Court Recruitment 2026
- Visit the district court’s official recruitment portal: yadgir.dcourts.gov.in/online-recruitment.
- Select the notification for the post you wish to apply for (Typist / Typist Copyist / Process Server / Peon) and fill in the online application form completely.
- Upload a recent passport-size photograph (white background, 3.5cm x 5cm, max 50KB, JPG) and a scanned signature on white paper in black ballpoint pen (2.5cm x 7.5cm, max 25KB, JPG).
- Upload all required certificates as clear, readable PDF scans (see Documents section below).
- Pay the application fee online only – via net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI through the link provided on the portal.
- Preview the completed application carefully before final submission – once submitted, the application cannot be withdrawn or edited.
- Take a printout of the submitted application for your records, and note your application number for future reference.
Important: Only online applications submitted through the official portal are accepted – applications sent by any other means (post, e-mail, in person) will not be considered. A candidate submitting more than one application for the same post will have only the last submitted application considered.

- Birth-date proof: SSLC/equivalent examination certificate (for Peon & Process Server) or second PUC/equivalent examination certificate (for Typist & Typist Copyist)
- Marks card of SSLC/equivalent (Peon & Process Server) or second PUC/equivalent (Typist & Typist Copyist)
- Typing/proficiency examination certificate(s) – senior grade for Typist, junior grade for Typist Copyist (or diploma in commerce/equivalent)
- Caste and income certificate (only if claiming reservation)
- 371-J local-cadre eligibility certificate
- Other reservation certificates, only if applicable: Rural reservation certificate (Form-2, class 1–10 study in rural areas), Kannada-medium study certificate (Form-2, class 1–10), disability certificate, project-displaced-persons certificate, ex-servicemen (discharge) certificate
- Passport-size photograph and scanned signature in the prescribed size and format
- NOC from the current employer, for candidates already in Government service
At the interview stage, shortlisted candidates must additionally bring: original documents corresponding to every certificate uploaded online; a photo ID (voter ID/Aadhaar/PAN/ration card/passport/driving licence); and three character certificates – one from the head of the institution last attended (with academic record), and two separate certificates from two unrelated, respectable persons well acquainted with the candidate.
Important Conditions
- Application fee: General – ₹200; Category-2A/2B/3A/3B – ₹100; SC/ST/Category-1/persons with disability – ₹50. Fee must be paid online only; cheques, demand drafts, postal orders and money orders are not accepted, and applications with unpaid fee will be rejected.
- Reservation-category certificates must be in the prescribed format: SC/ST candidates – Form D; Category-1 candidates – Form E; Category-2A/2B/3A/3B candidates – Form F. Only caste and income certificates obtained specifically for employment purposes are considered – certificates obtained for education or other benefits are not accepted.
- Rural-reservation candidates must have studied class 1 to 10 entirely in a rural area, certified in Form-2, countersigned by the Field/Range Education Officer and the concerned Tahsildar.
- Kannada-medium reservation candidates must have studied class 1 to 10 entirely in Kannada medium, similarly certified in Form-2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-1/2A/2B/3A/3B must compulsorily submit the rural-reservation certificate to claim that quota; failing this, they become ineligible for the rural quota.
- Disability-quota candidates must hold a certificate from the competent authority as per Government Order No. CASuE 115 SENE 2005 dated 19.11.2005, valid as on the application deadline.
- Candidates already in Government service must submit a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) before the final selection order is issued.
- Local-cadre (371-J) candidates for the Kalyana Karnataka region must submit an eligibility certificate from the competent authority in the format prescribed under Government Order No. DPAR/06/PLC/2012 dated 06.11.2013.
- Caste, category and other reservation certificates obtained after the application deadline will not be considered.
- If any discrepancy is found between the uploaded documents and the original documents produced at interview/verification, the candidate forfeits their candidature. If a candidate fails to produce the original documents corresponding to the uploaded certificates at the time of verification, their application will not be accepted thereafter.
- If original documents on verification do not match a claimed reservation category, that reservation claim is cancelled and the candidate is considered only under the General category, if otherwise eligible. Reservation-category certificates submitted in a non-prescribed format will not be considered.
- If a candidate holding a qualification higher than SSLC/10th standard does not disclose that fact and related details, they will be liable for penal action.
- The category/reservation entered in the online application is final; requests for change thereafter will not be considered under any circumstances.
- Merely being called for interview confers no right to appointment; the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Yadgir is not bound to select any candidate found unsuitable.
- Any candidate found seeking outside influence, through staff or non-staff, to canvass for their candidature becomes ineligible for appointment.
- If information provided in the application is found false at any stage of scrutiny or after appointment, or if eligibility criteria are not met, or genuine documents are found tampered with, the candidature (or appointment, if already made) will be cancelled; furnishing incorrect or concealed information may also attract criminal liability.
