• Knowledge of WHO-GMP, Schedule M, biosafety and contamination control requirements.

HLL Operations Manager (Mechanical) Job Description

• Facility Development & Project Execution: Review designs, specifications, BOQs and P&IDs; supervise mechanical installation, testing and commissioning; coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants and vendors; monitor progress, quality, cost and timelines.
• HVAC & Cleanroom Engineering: Review and execute HVAC for classified areas, covering HEPA filtration, air changes, pressure cascades and environmental control; coordinate testing, commissioning and qualification.
• Process Utilities: Supervise installation, commissioning and maintenance of chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, steam and pure steam, WFI, purified water, compressed air and gases, boilers, ETP, exhaust systems and cold storage.
• Equipment Integration: Coordinate mechanical and utility requirements for bioreactors, fermenters, purification systems and filling lines; ensure hygienic design and maintainability; support qualification documentation.
• Maintenance & Facility Operations: Develop preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes; ensure utility availability; maintain equipment records and asset plans; implement AMC/CAMC; coordinate calibration and statutory compliance; support deviations, change control and CAPA.
• GMP, Qualification & Compliance: Ensure compliance with WHO-GMP, Schedule M, biosafety and contamination control; support DQ, IQ, OQ and PQ; coordinate with QA, QC, Validation and Production; support inspections and audits.
• Tendering & Contract Management: Prepare specifications, BOQs, DPRs, estimates and tender documents; evaluate bids and vendors; monitor contractor performance and handover of completed facilities.
