IGKV Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 6 Junior Research Fellow, Field Assistant and More Posts

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur, has opened six contractual posts under the project “Establishment of Centre of Excellence on Nuclear Agriculture & Food Processing”: two Junior Research Fellows (JRF), one Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), two Field Assistants (FA) and one Lab Attendant (LA). JRF and RSO get Rs. 37000 + HRA per month, Field Assistant gets Rs. 18000 per month (fixed) and Lab Attendant gets Rs. 16615 per month (fixed). The posts last up to the project duration or termination of the project, whichever is earlier. The completed application form must reach the Office of the Director Research Services by registered post, speed post or by hand on or before 23 November 2026 (5.30 pm).

Who Can Apply

Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) – Essential Qualification

Diploma in Engineering/BSc./MSc./Degree in Engineering/M.Tech., plus one of the following:

• Training course on Radiation Safety aspects of Gamma Irradiation Chambers
• Post MSc. Diploma in Radiological Physics
• Training course on Radiation Safety Aspects in Research Application of Ionizing Radiation
• RSO Training for Gamma Radiation Processing Facilities
• Training course on Radiation Safety Aspects

Age Limit

The age limit printed in the notice is minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years. The notice prints no cut-off date for counting age.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Serviceman/Women candidates and CG domicile will be given as per VV Rules/CG Gov. rules.

Pay and Tenure

• Junior Research Fellow and Radiation Safety Officer: Rs. 37000 + HRA per month.
• Field Assistant: fixed emoluments of Rs. 18000 per month as per V.V. rules.
• Lab Attendant: fixed emoluments of Rs. 16615 per month as per V.V. rules.
• No HRA will be paid to Field Assistant and Lab Attendant.
• The candidate cannot claim any increment.
• All positions are purely temporary, filled on a contractual basis, time bound and non-regular, and co-terminus with the project.
• The appointment of JRF and RSO is subject to the ICAR guidelines in memorandum F. No.: Agril.Edn.01(12)/2023-A&P(e-251411) dated 07/12/2023 and F.No.:Agri.Edn. 1-06/2020-A&P dated 04.12.2020.
• The appointment of FA and LA is subject to the VV guidelines in S. No./Est.-04/File No.-114/2023/6620 dated 8/12/2023 and S. No./Est.-04/File No.-114/2020/6414 dated 20/01/2020.

How to Apply for IGKV Recruitment 2026

1. Use the form for your post given with the notice: Annexure-I for JRF, Annexure-II for RSO, Annexure-III for FA and Annexure-IV for LA.
2. Affix a self-attested passport photograph on the form.
3. Fill in the details the form asks for: name (block letters), father’s or husband’s name, permanent address, email ID, mobile number, date of birth (as per SSC certificate), category (UR/OBC/SC/ST), gender and domicile.
4. Fill in the academic qualifications table and the sections on awards, publications, experience and extracurricular activities (NCC/NSS/Sports/University Band), attaching self-attested proof for each.
5. Sign the declaration with date and place.
6. Attach self-attested copies of certificates and related documents.

8. The application must reach on or before 23 November 2026 (5.30 pm). Applications reaching after the due date will not be considered in any condition, and incomplete applications will be rejected.

The experience section differs by form: the JRF form asks for experience as RA/SRF/JRF/TA/Farm Manager etc. in Government institutions; the RSO form asks for experience in the relevant field in Government or private institutions; the FA and LA forms ask for experience in a Central/State Government department or corporation, institute, board, university or authority of Government. The JRF form also has a Ph.D row and the RSO form a “Radiation Professional Education” row in the qualifications table.

Selection and Interview

• Junior Research Fellow and Radiation Safety Officer: selection based on academic performance and interview.
• Field Assistant and Lab Attendant: direct recruitment based on score card as per the guidelines of V.V. (Est.-04/File No.-114/2023/6620 dated 8/12/2023 and Est.-04/File No.-114/2020/6414 dated 20/01/2020).
• The list of eligible and not eligible candidates for interview will be uploaded on the IGKV website on 27 November 2026.
• Personal interview for JRF and RSO: 30 November 2026 at 11.00 am onwards.
• Reporting time for document verification: one hour prior to interview time.
• Venue of personal interview for JRF/RSO: Seminar Hall, Director of Research Services, IGKV, Raipur.
• Candidates must bring all original documents/certificates for verification during the interview.

• No TA/DA will be paid to shortlisted candidates for attending the interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification; a shortlisted candidate who canvasses will not be interviewed by the committee.
• The selected candidate will not be entitled to claim regular appointment or absorption in the Institute.
• Non-maintenance of discipline and failure to perform the assigned duties will make the JRF/RSO/Field Assistant/Lab Attendant liable for termination during the appointment period as per IGKV rule and ICAR guidelines.
• The declaration in the form states that candidature or appointment may be cancelled if any information is found false, incorrect or incomplete, or ineligibility is detected before or after interview/selection.
