Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute/ University.
• Experience: Minimum 05 years administrative experience as Head Clerk (Class-III) or equivalent OR 10 years as Senior Clerk (Class-III) or equivalent OR 15 years as Junior Clerk (Class-III) or equivalent in Government, Semi-Government, Local Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings, Grant-in-aid institutions, Private University or Self-financed college.
• Age limit: Maximum 40 years (as on last date of accepting online application)
• Age relaxation: Socially and Educationally Backward Class / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Economically Weaker Section of Gujarat 5 years (maximum up to 45 years), Women candidates 5 years (maximum up to 45 years), SEBC/SC/ST women candidates 10 years (maximum up to 45 years), Differently-abled candidates 10 years (maximum up to 45 years), Ex-servicemen 5 years (maximum up to 45 years)

Other conditions:

• Basic knowledge of computer use as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967
• Working knowledge of both Gujarati and Hindi

Who Cannot Apply for VNSGU Recruitment 2026

• Candidates with degrees or diplomas from institutions declared fake or derecognised.
• Candidates whose application is incomplete.
• Reserved category candidates from outside Gujarat cannot claim reservation benefit.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Post is sanctioned only for the current financial year; continuation is subject to Government of Gujarat approval and renewal.
• Fixed salary of Rs. 49,600 per month for the first five years.
