Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Post-graduation in Basic Sciences/Engineering with 60% aggregate marks/Average (CGPA) 6.5 on a 10-point scale for GEN, and marks will be relaxed by 5% or by a CGPA of 0.5 (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/PwD candidates from a UGC recognized University/Institute/Autonomous bodies.
• Age limit: Maximum 32 years (as on 16 November 2026)

Other conditions:

• The selected candidate will be encouraged to join and complete Ph.D. degree at NIT Kurukshetra.

Desirable:

• CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE/GPAT qualification

NIT Kurukshetra Visiting Faculty Job Description

• Implement the research project titled “Mid-IR Light Generation in Nonlinear Materials using Four-Wave-Mixing” at the spoke institution, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra in collaboration with the hub institution, Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Khandwa Road, Simrol, Indore (M.P.).
• Participate in research under Theme 1: Advanced Materials (part of the SAKSHAM project comprising three themes: Theme 1: Advanced Materials; Theme 2: Environmental Sustainability and Energy Technology; and Theme 3: Health and Medical Technologies).
• Work at the Spoke and Hub institutions as workplace may vary from time to time as per project requirements.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Initial appointment is up to 30 June 2027, to be continued till September 2029 or co-terminus with the duration of the project based on the performance of the candidate (semester wise).
