Who Can Apply

Officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary or Director level from the All India Services or any Organized Group ‘A’ Services of the Government of India (participating under Central Staffing Scheme) who are eligible for appointment at DS/Director level under the Central Staffing Scheme are eligible for the aforesaid post.

Pay and Terms

The level of pay shall be as admissible to DS/Director level officer in Government of India. The period of deputation would be 4 years for Deputy Secretary level or 5 years for Director level.

• No ‘Mandatory Posting Certificate’ for allotment or retention of government accommodation would be issued by the office to the officer appointed, unless the officer is currently on CSS deputation and has completed four years on the same.
• Ensure that the ‘cooling off’ after a previous stint on deputation, if any, is completed and the officer is eligible to be appointed on Central Deputation per instructions.
