TISS Teaching Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has released the recruitment notification for 1 vacancy for the Teaching Assistant post on a contract basis for a tenure of 08 Months (1 November 2026 to 30 June 2027). The notified pay for the post is Rs. 35,000 pm. Applicants must hold a Post Graduate in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology with relevant experience in clinical practice and/or teaching. Pay and Tenure

The selected Teaching Assistant will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 35,000/- per month for the duration of 08 Months, starting from 01.11.2026 to 30.06.2027. The position is part-time, based on course timings which include weekday evenings from 05:45 to 08:15 pm and weekday afternoons from 02:00 to 05:00 pm, 3 days a week.

TISS Teaching Assistant Job Description

The Teaching Assistant will have the following job responsibilities in assisting the Faculty-in-Charge for the STP:

• Collate and curate teaching materials and learning aids.
• Assist in evaluation and documentation aspects of the program.
• Coordinating with students in the courses regarding classes, tasks and deadlines.
• Generating creative content regarding the course, such as announcements, events, posters etc and circulation on Social Media via TISS’ authorized channels.
• Assist in documentation of ongoing research.

N.B.: The Teaching Assistant will not be required to conduct classes by themselves.

Selection and Interview
