UBKV Young Professional Recruitment 2026 – Walkin

Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) has announced 2 temporary vacancies for Young Professional-II (YP-II) and Young Professional-I (YP-I) posts under advertisement number UBKV/DR-492. Eligible candidates can attend a walk-in interview on 30 October 2026, reporting at 12:00 PM at the Chamber of The Director of Research, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Cooch Behar. The engagement is on a purely contractual and temporary basis, offering a consolidated pay of Rs. 42,000 per month for YP-II and Rs. 30,000 per month for YP-I. Applicants must possess the required Master’s or Bachelor’s degree qualification as specified in the official notification and must not have any type of conviction in the court.

Desirable Qualifications and Age Details

YP-II Desirable: Experience in plant tissue culture, plant pathogen/virus detection, ELISA, PCR/RT-PCR, molecular biology, genetic fidelity testing, laboratory quality-control activities or related agricultural biotechnology work. Working knowledge of computer applications, data recording, documentation and preparation of technical reports will be desirable.

YP-I Desirable: Practical experience/ working knowledge in plant tissue culture, potato production, nursery/plant hardening, plant propagation, ARC technology, protected cultivation or related agricultural laboratory/field activities. Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain production records and project documentation will be desirable.

Age Limit: Age should be below 30 years as on 01.10.2026. Age relaxation is up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, and further relaxation may be given to candidates with experience in such type of project/ programme.

• Two copies of application along with detailed bio-data.
• Two sets of photocopies of all documents, mark sheets, and certificates starting from Madhyamik examination duly attested by a Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institution.
• Two recent passport size photographs.
• Original mark sheets and certificates starting from Madhyamik examination and other experience certificates, if any.
• Proof of Date of Birth (e.g., CBSE/ HSC/ SSC/ Matriculation certification).
• SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable.

What Happens on the Day

Applicants must appear in person before a selection committee for a walk-in-interview at the chamber of The Director of Research, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Cooch Behar on 30 October 2026 at 12:00 Noon for Young Professional-II and 01:30 p.m. for Young Professional-I. Venue is the Conference Room Adjacent to the Directorate of Research, RKVY Building, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Coochbehar. Preference will be given to candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the mandate of the Project (“Potato Tissue Culture and Apical Rooted Cutting (ARC) Plantlet Production Facility at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya”). The selected candidate will be offered fellowship on a purely temporary contractual basis co-terminus with the project.
