Kalahandi District Sociologist Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 2 Posts

Kalahandi District has announced 2 temporary Sociologist vacancies under advertisement number 3026-27/DFO/IF. Candidates holding a Graduate in Humanities qualification can apply offline by sending the completed application through Post Office, Courier Service or Drop Box to the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Kalahandi South Division on or before 15 October 2026, starting from 1 October 2026. The notified pay for the post is Rs. 25,000. The selection process comprises a Written Test, Walk-in Interview, Document Verification, and Counselling for choice of facility, with the interview scheduled for 23 October 2026.

• Form to Use: The resume provided in Annexure-II of the official notification along with a self-attested copy of an Aadhaar Card or any other identity proof like Driving License, Voter ID, BPL Card, etc.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Educational Qualification:

• Graduate in Humanities from any recognized institution.
• Minimum three years of experience working in the development sector directly with Forest communities and village level institutions.

Preferable Qualification:

• Ability to speak/understand local language. Candidates native to Odisha state (preferably Kalahandi district) are preferred.

Age Limit:

• Minimum 18 years and maximum 50 years as of 31.03.2026. Date of birth as recorded in the HSC certificate issued by the BSE, Odisha, or equivalent certificate issued by any recognized Board/Council/Indian university. There is no upper age limit relaxation provided for engagement in this category.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a citizen of India and have a good character.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write odia.
• Must not have more than one spouse living, subject to personal law applications or permitted grounds.

• Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card or any other identity proof like Driving License, Voter ID, BPL Card, etc.
• Original certificates and documents to be produced only during verification before engagement.

Selection Process

The engagement involves a Walk-in Interview, Written Test, Document Verification, and Counselling for choice of facility. The walk-in interview for the post of Sociologist shall be held in the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Kalahandi North Division on dated 23.10.2026, preceded by a Written Test at the same venue at 11:00 AM on the same day. Candidates qualifying the examination will be called for document verification and counseling.
