Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has released the recruitment notification for 1 vacancy for the post of Junior Research Fellow on a contract basis under its 2026 recruitment drive. Candidates holding a B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant degree with minimum CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60% and M.E/M.Tech in Structural Engineering with a CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60% are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit the offline application by post or in person to Dr. Asif Hussain Shah (PI), Department of Civil Engineering, Central University of Kashmir, Tulmulla campus and also via google form on or before 12 October 2026. The notified pay is Rs. 31,000 (Consolidated), and the selection process involves shortlisting of candidates followed by an interview of shortlisted candidates.

CUK Junior Research Fellow Important Instructions

• The appointment is purely temporary in nature and does not confer any right to permanent appointment in the university.
• The engagement may be terminated at any time by the University without any reason by giving a notice of one week.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending an interview or at the time of joining the post.
• The selected candidate shall be given an opportunity to register for the PhD at CUK under norms.
