| Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) | MBBS Degree from any recognised Indian University/ Institute recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI) with minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience. Certificates for the same should be provided. In the event of self-practice, the candidate has to provide sufficient documentary evidence in support of their experience. The applicant should also have a valid Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) approval at the time of application. In case of selection, the DGMA approval of the selected candidate should be valid throughout the tenure of the contract. |

The upper age limit is 62 years as on 01.09.2026 (Date of Birth should be on or after 01.09.1964). The maximum age of the applicant after claiming age relaxation should not be more than sixty-two (62) years as on 01.09.2026.

Shortlisting Process
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of eligibility criteria for Educational Qualification, Experience, and valid DGMA Approval. In case of receipt of a large number of applications, the Company reserves the right to shortlist candidates for interview out of eligible candidates in the ratio of 1:10, based on higher experience post qualification. In case of a tie in interview marks, candidates with more years of experience will be placed higher in merit.
Personal Interview
Selection will be based on a Personal Interview conducted physically at SCI Head Office, Mumbai for AMO – SCI Head Office and AMO – SCI MTI; at SCI Chennai Office for AMO – SCI Chennai; and at SCI Kolkata Office for AMO – SCI Kolkata. The Selection Committee from Mumbai HO will join virtually (video conferencing) as per requirement.

The engagement is purely on a contract basis for a period of two (2) years with a provision for two (2) extensions of three (3) months each, at the sole discretion of SCI, and shall not lead to permanent appointment.
Selected candidates will be required to undergo the Corporation’s pre-recruitment medical check-up prior to appointment.
The contract may be terminated by either side by one month’s (30 days) notice or payment of notice pay in lieu thereof.
In the event that multiple applications are received from the same candidate, only the latest application submitted will be considered.
Applications will not be considered if required documents are not submitted as per the data filled in the application form.
Candidates should have a valid DGMA approval at the time of application and throughout the tenure of the contract.
The management reserves the right to cancel the engagement process at any stage without issuing any further notice.
