ESIC Indore Recruitment 2026 Overview

ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore intends to fill teaching faculty posts for one year on a contract basis. The contract can be extended up to 3 years, depending on satisfactory performance and functional requirement, in the disciplines listed in the advertisement.

The advertisement states that retired or working Professors may also apply for the eligible posts. Any candidate can be appointed against any unfilled vacant reserved-category post for 44 days, with a provision for extension if required.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check their own eligibility before reporting for the interview. Eligibility for the qualifying degree and experience is counted as on the 15th of every month. Interview opportunity is provisional, subject to detailed scrutiny of eligibility.

• Candidates must hold an updated Medical Registration (NMC or State Medical Council) with all post-MBBS, MD or MS qualifications.
• If the registration is not updated, candidates must show and submit a copy of the “Applied for” document at the time of interview. Otherwise they may not be interviewed, or their result may be withheld.
• Selected candidates must submit the updated Medical Registration Certificate when reporting to join.
• Candidates working in a Govt., Autonomous, Statutory or Private institution should preferably bring an NOC from their employer. If it is not immediately available, they should submit a copy of the “applied for NOC”. Candidates already working at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore need not produce an NOC.
• No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Qualification

The educational qualification is as per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines. The notification does not list post-wise degrees or experience requirements, so refer to the NMC guidelines for each post and department. The self-attested documents required with the application cover the MBBS and MD/MS/DNB or other qualifications, marks sheets, attempts and degree certificates (see the documents section below).

Rules for Candidates Eligible for Higher or Lower Posts

• Under ESIC Headquarters memoranda dated 22.01.2018 and 28.10.2020, a candidate eligible for a higher post (Professor or Associate Professor) may be interviewed against a lower post (Associate Professor or Assistant Professor).
• If selected, such a candidate may be placed with a suitable upgradation of the lower post, as per eligibility and the selection board’s recommendation. The upgradation is temporary and limited to the tenure of the teaching faculty, or until a regular incumbent is appointed to the lower post.
• In Super Specialty departments, if no suitable or eligible candidate appears, a candidate eligible for a lower post (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor) may be interviewed against Associate Professor or Professor. If selected, the candidate is appointed to the lower post with suitable down-gradation.
• In Super Specialty departments, if no suitable candidate appears for an advertised post, the Selection Board may relax the experience criteria and allow such candidates to be interviewed. Selection is then as per the board’s recommendation.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Age Limit

The maximum tenure of engagement for teaching faculty is up to 70 years of age or the contract period, whichever is earlier, provided other rules and regulations are satisfied. A minimum age limit is not specified in the notification.

Category Certificates

• EWS: Certificate as per Annexure-I of DoPT Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res), dated 31.01.2019.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Certificate issued not earlier than one year before the interview date, in the format applicable to Government of India jobs, issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer or equivalent authority of the State.
• PwD (Divyangjan): Reservation as per Government of India norms.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Application Fee

The fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances. The Demand Draft is described as the interview fee “if applicable”. The scanned copy of the DD is sent with the email application, and the original DD must reach the Dean by post.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Salary

The consolidated remuneration is as per Medical Administration, HQRS Office Memoranda No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med.IV (Pt. File) dated 13.04.2022 (other than retired Army Medical Teachers) and Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI dated 08.12.2022. It may change as per Headquarters instructions issued from time to time.

Salary and other allowances are paid as: NPA at 20% (wherever applicable and admissible), DA at 60%, HRA at 20%, and TA at Rs. 7,200 plus DA thereon. The remuneration is revised automatically when the Dearness Allowance rate is revised, effective from the date of notification of Government orders. Arrears are not admissible for retrospective rate revisions.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Terms of Contract

• Tenure is 1 year, or until a regular incumbent joins, or until 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.
• Either side may end the contract with one month’s prior notice without assigning a reason. In case of spot resignation, one month’s salary is to be deposited to the ESI Account through challan.
• No service benefits such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, Seniority or Promotion are admissible.
• Absence beyond 7 days without proper permission counts as voluntary abandonment and leads to automatic termination.
• Attendance must be marked manually and on the Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily on scheduled working days.
• Leave of 2.5 days is credited for each completed month. No other leave (Earned Leave, Special Casual Leave, Commuted Leave) is allowed. Sunday and holiday duty is by rotation.
• Selected Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and Senior Residents must deposit Rs. 20,000/- as a security deposit. It is forfeited if the candidate resigns or leaves within six months of joining, if the institute terminates the contract, or in case of automatic termination for absence beyond 7 days.
• Candidates involved in patient care must hold a professional indemnity policy covering the contract period. The minimum sum assured per annum is Rs. 30 lakhs for Anaesthesiology, ENT, Eye, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Surgery, Accident & Emergency, ICU, Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Surgical Oncology, Urology, Rheumatology, Haematology and Anaesthesiology with Surgical Super Speciality. It is Rs. 20 lakhs for Chest, and Rs. 10 lakhs for Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Dermatology, Radiology, Psychiatry and Dental. A copy of the insurance and premium receipt must be submitted within 7 days of engagement, otherwise service is terminated.
• The contract is signed on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 500/- (or as applicable under the Stamp Act). The selected candidate brings the blank stamp paper, purchased between the date the result is issued and the date of reporting. The original agreement stays with ESIC and a copy goes to the candidate.
• Other terms and conditions apply as issued by the Competent Authority from time to time.

ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Selection Process

1. Selection is based on acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
2. The mode of interview is offline (walk-in).
3. The result will be displayed in the Recruitments section of www.esic.gov.in.
4. The offer of appointment will be sent through email only.
5. Selected candidates must join as per the instructions in the offer of appointment.
6. Any amendment to the notification will be displayed on www.esic.gov.in/recruitments.

The notification states that the appointment letter will be issued on the day the results are announced.

How to Apply for ESIC Indore Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026

ESIC Indore Apply Online: Application Mode

The notification does not provide an online application form or portal. Candidates apply by emailing the scanned application and then sending the original documents by post. The official page for notices is www.esic.gov.in/recruitments.

1. Visit www.esic.gov.in/recruitments between the 1st and 7th of the month and check the vacancy notification.
2. Fill in the prescribed application format in black or blue ink in BLOCK letters, with a recent self-attested passport-size photograph. File a separate form for each post.
3. Scan the application form, the Demand Draft (where applicable) and all self-attested supporting documents, including research publications and conference papers, if any. Arrange them in the checklist order as a PDF only.
4. Email them to [email protected] by 4:00 PM on the 15th of the month (or the next working day if it is a holiday). Write the Name, Post and Department in the email subject. Emails after the deadline are not accepted.
5. Send the original application form with self-attested documents and the original Demand Draft (if applicable) to The Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Nanda Nagar, Indore (M.P.) – 452011, to reach on or before the interview date (the 17th of every month, as written in the notification).
6. Write “Recruitment of Teaching Faculty/Senior Residents on contract basis” with the Name of Post and Department on the envelope.
7. Report for the walk-in interview at 9:00 AM with original documents for verification. For October 2026, the interview is on 19/10/2026.

Self-attested copies of the following must be attached with the application. Items (i) to (xi) are verified against the originals before the interview.

Application Form Details and Checklist

The application format asks for: post applied for, department, name in block letters, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth, age as on the 15th of the month, category and caste, post notified under category, mode of interview (offline), Demand Draft details (bank name, DD number, date), qualifications table (qualification, board/university, year of passing, marks, division, attempts), experience with certificates, MCI/State registration number, telephone and mobile numbers, email, permanent and present addresses, marital status, nationality and mother tongue, Aadhaar number, identification mark, and a signed declaration.

The enclosure checklist covers: date of birth certificate (matriculation), proof of identity (Aadhaar/PAN/driving licence/other), UG certificate, Diploma/PG certificate, MCI/State registration certificate, experience certificate/NOC, research publications, caste/EWS/PwD certificate, and residential address proof.

Instructions Before Filling the Form

• Fill only one form for each post applied for, in clear and bold letters.
• The photograph must show the face and both ears clearly and be signed across.
• Send all self-attested documents as PDF only, in checklist order, by 4:00 PM on the 15th. No email is accepted after that.
• Canvassing in any form will debar the candidature at any stage.

Other Important Conditions

• Reservation is as per Government of India guidelines issued from time to time.
• As per DoPT FAQs (File No. 43011/11/2022-Estt. (Res-II) dated 19.02.2022), EWS vacancies that cannot be filled in a recruitment year are not carried forward as backlog. If no suitable EWS candidate is found, the vacancy is filled under the Unreserved category, so Unreserved candidates may also apply.
• If reserved-category candidates are not available, the vacancy may be filled for less than 45 days as a de-reserved seat.
• Applications in any other format, or incomplete applications, will be summarily rejected.
• Wrong declarations or false information can lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
• Submitting an application does not give any right to be interviewed unless the candidate reports on the scheduled date and time with the required documents.
• The Dean, ESIC MCH, Indore reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment process at any stage, and the decision is binding.
