PILBS Important Instructions

  • All appointments except for Residents shall be on a “contract basis” initially for a period of 4 years including a probationary period of one year, which could be extended by one year at the discretion of the Director.
  • The tenure of Senior Residents will be of 3 years.
  • The tenure of Emergency Medical Officers will be of 1 year.
  • Women reservation is applicable as per rules.
  • The number of posts can be increased or decreased or withdrawn by the Department without any notice.
  • Reservation will be subject to verification by the Welfare Department.
  • Candidates should have the requisite qualifications and experience on the date of interview and are requested to attend the interview with original certificate along with 2 spare copy of the certificates.
  • The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement & other academic achievements.
  • Jurisdiction of justice in case of any dispute will be Chandigarh/Punjab.
