ITBP Head Constable Vacancy 2026

Ten per cent of the vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen in the respective post and category. The vacancies are tentative and may increase or decrease.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess either of the following qualifications:

• Degree from a recognised university or equivalent with Psychology as a subject; or
• Degree from a recognised university along with Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Teaching, or an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is relaxable for ST, OBC and Ex-Servicemen candidates according to applicable government rules.

The Head Constable (Education and Stress Counsellor) post carries Pay Level 4 with a salary of Rs.25,500-81,100 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The appointment will initially be temporary but is likely to become permanent in ITBP. Selected candidates may be required to serve anywhere in India or abroad.
