The vacancy table on pages 1 to 3 of the notification provides the department-wise and category-wise distribution. The advertised vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease according to teaching and patient-care requirements.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident posts will be governed by the National Medical Commission guidelines dated 30 June 2025.

Candidates should possess the applicable MBBS and postgraduate medical qualifications, such as MD, MS, DNB or another recognized qualification, for the relevant department. Applicants must also have updated registration with the National Medical Commission or the appropriate State Medical Council.

Age Limit

The 50-year limit applies to Senior Resident posts in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine. Age will be calculated as of the interview date. Applicable relaxation will be provided according to Government of India rules.

ESIC Ranchi Salary Details

Other allowances will be provided where applicable and admissible under ESIC rules.

Application Fee

The fee must be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of ESIC Saving Fund Account No. 2, payable at Namkum. The Demand Draft must be submitted with the application form. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The ESIC Ranchi selection process will be based on:

1. Academic qualifications and credentials
2. Document scrutiny
3. Performance in the interview before the Selection Board

The result will be published in the Recruitment section of the ESIC website. Appointment offers will be sent to selected candidates through email only.

How to Apply for ESIC Ranchi Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the ESIC recruitment website.
2. Download Advertisement No. 06 of 2026 and the prescribed application form.
3. Read the eligibility conditions for the relevant post and department.
4. Complete the application form with accurate personal, educational and experience details.
5. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
6. Prepare the application fee Demand Draft if applicable.
7. Submit a separate application for each post.
8. Send the completed application by email, Speed Post or submit it by hand.
9. Ensure that the application reaches ESIC by 21 September 2026.
10. Check the ESIC website and registered email for the interview schedule.

ESIC advises candidates to submit their applications by email for faster delivery.

• Class 10 certificate or mark sheet as proof of date of birth
• All MBBS mark sheets, attempt certificates and degree certificate
• MD, MS, DNB or other postgraduate mark sheets and degree certificates
• Valid EWS, OBC, SC, ST or PwD certificate, where applicable
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Updated State Medical Council or NMC registration certificate
• Proof of publications
• Experience certificates
• Biomedical research examination completion certificate, if available
• Medical Education Workshop completion certificate, if available
• Relieving certificate or NOC from the current or previous employer, if applicable
• Aadhaar card and PAN card

Original certificates will be verified during the interview and again at the time of joining.

Contract Conditions

• The initial contract period is one year.
• The contract may be extended annually for up to three years based on satisfactory performance.
• The appointment may end earlier if a regular employee joins the post.
• The maximum engagement may continue only until the candidate reaches 70 years of age.
• Selected candidates must deposit a refundable security amount of ₹30,000 at the time of joining.
• Private medical practice is strictly prohibited.
• No accommodation will be provided.
• The appointment does not provide a right to regularization.
• Selected candidates must execute an agreement on ₹100 non-judicial stamp paper.

Important Instructions

• Applications received after 21 September 2026 will not be considered.
• A separate application must be submitted for every post applied for.
• Incomplete applications or applications submitted in another format will be rejected.
• Candidates working in Government, autonomous or statutory institutions should preferably produce an NOC during the interview.
• No travelling allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
• EWS certificates must relate to the financial year 2025–26 and must have been issued on or after 1 April 2026.
• OBC candidates must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the prescribed Central Government format.
• Interview participation will remain provisional until detailed eligibility verification is completed.
