Educational Qualification and Experience

Professor – Engineering Departments

• Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• First class or equivalent at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level in the relevant branch.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching, research or industry experience.
• At least three years of experience in a position equivalent to Associate Professor.
• Required research publications and Ph.D. guidance experience as specified in the notification.

Professor – Environmental Science

• Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Science and Management, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Total research score of 120.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant teaching or research experience with successful doctoral guidance.

Associate Professor – Engineering Departments

• Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• First class or equivalent at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• At least six research publications in SCI, UGC or AICTE-approved journals.
• Minimum eight years of teaching, research or industry experience.
• At least two years of post-Ph.D. experience.

Associate Professor – Chemistry

• Ph.D. in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline.
• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
• Minimum eight years of teaching or research experience.
• At least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Total research score of 75.

Assistant Professor – Engineering Departments

Candidates must possess B.E., B.Tech. or B.S. and M.E., M.Tech., M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch, with first class or an equivalent grade in at least one of the degrees.

Assistant Professor – Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant or allied subject.
• NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or another UGC-accredited test such as SLET or SET.
• Candidates possessing an eligible Ph.D. may receive exemption from NET, SLET or SET according to UGC regulations.

Assistant Professor – General Environmental Science

• M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science and Management, Environmental Science and Engineering or a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.
• NET, SLET or SET qualification, unless exempted under the applicable Ph.D. regulations.

Principal – University Polytechnic

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. and first class at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s level with at least 16 years of teaching, research or industry experience. Alternatively, candidates with first class at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level and at least 20 years of experience may apply, subject to the experience conditions in the notification.

Head of Section – Civil Engineering

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. with first class at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level and at least 12 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 15 years of experience is accepted, subject to the conditions stated in the advertisement.

Qualifications and experience will be calculated as of 6 October 2026.

Possessing the minimum qualification does not guarantee that a candidate will be called for an interview. The university may shortlist candidates based on higher qualifications, experience or other suitable criteria.

2. Complete the registration process using a valid email address and mobile number.
3. Select the relevant Jamia Millia Islamia teaching post.
4. Enter the required personal, educational, research and experience details.
5. Upload self-attested copies of the required certificates and supporting documents.
6. Pay the applicable application fee online.
7. Review and submit the online application by 6 October 2026.
8. Download and print the submitted application form.
9. Attach self-attested copies of all documents claimed in the application.
10. Serially number the supporting documents and mention the numbers against the relevant entries in the application.
11. Send or submit the hard copy to the university so that it reaches by 16 October 2026.

A separate application and applicable fee must be submitted for each post.
