Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) has released the official Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 notification. A total of 11 vacancies have been announced under the RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026. Candidates up to 63 years of age with qualifications including a Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Postgraduate Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil or Mining Engineering, Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology, or Diploma in Civil or Survey Engineering can apply online by 11 October 2026. Selected candidates will be appointed on a contractual basis with a monthly remuneration ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,70,000. A total of 11 vacancies are available – 1 for Individual Consultant: Tunnel Design Engineer, 1 for Individual Consultant: Bridge / Structural Engineer, 1 for Individual Consultant: Tunnel Safety Expert, 1 for Individual Consultant: Senior Geotechnical Expert, 1 for Individual Consultant: Senior Geologist, 1 for Individual Consultant: Senior Contract Expert, 1 for Individual Consultant: Instrumentation & Control Expert (SCADA), 1 for Individual Consultant: Tunnel Lining Expert, 2 for Individual Consultant: Safety Engineer, and 1 for Individual Consultant: Survey Engineer.

RITES Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Individual Consultant: Tunnel Design Engineer: Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Preference: Postgraduate in Structural Engineering.
• Individual Consultant: Bridge / Structural Engineer: Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. Preference: Post Graduate Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Individual Consultant: Tunnel Safety Expert: Postgraduate in Civil / Mining Engineering from a recognized university. Preference: Professional Certification in safety / health / shot firer / explosives.
• Individual Consultant: Senior Geotechnical Expert: Graduate in Civil Engineering / Master’s in Geology or equivalent from a recognized University. Preference: Postgraduate in Rock Mechanics / Foundation Engineering / Tunnel Engineering.
• Individual Consultant: Senior Geologist: Masters in Geology / Applied Geology from recognized university.
• Individual Consultant: Senior Contract Expert: Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. Preference: Degree in Law/PG in management/certificate course in management/ construction management/contract management.
• Individual Consultant: Instrumentation & Control Expert (SCADA): Graduate in IT / Comp. Sc. / Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Automobile from a recognized University. Preference: Post Graduate degree in Instrumentation & control / Industrial Automation system design/process control & instrumentation engineering / SCADA or equivalent.
• Individual Consultant: Tunnel Lining Expert: Graduate in Civil / Mining Engineering from a recognized University.
• Individual Consultant: Safety Engineer: Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. Preference: Professional Certification from a recognized university / statutory body in safety / health /shot firer / explosives.
• Individual Consultant: Survey Engineer: Diploma in Civil / Survey Engineering. Preference: Graduate in Civil / Survey Engineering.
