A. Regular Teaching Positions – Main Campus, Lucknow

B. Deputation Basis – Main Campus, Lucknow

C. Tenure Position – Satellite Centre, Amethi

D. Project Positions – Centre for the Study of Social Inclusion (CSSI)

BBAU Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification – Non Teaching Posts

• Coordinator Grade-I: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks; nine years’ experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 10 and above with educational administration experience, or comparable research/higher education institution experience, or five years’ administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent. Desirable: experience in Establishment/Examinations/Finance.
• Assistant Librarian: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or equivalent with at least 55% marks; consistently good academic record with knowledge of library computerization; must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC (M.Phil./Ph.D.) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, subject to specified exemption conditions.
• System Analyst: First class M.E./M.Tech. (Computer Science & Technology/Information Technology)/MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology) or equivalent; OR First class B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science & Technology/Information Technology) or equivalent with two years’ relevant experience. Desirable: CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification.
• Library Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent; typing speed of 30 words per minute in English; knowledge of computer applications.

Educational Qualification – Teaching Posts (Summary)

• Professor (Economics, Human Rights, Public Administration, Demographic Studies): Ph.D. with 10 research publications and a total research score of 120 as per UGC 2018 norms, and 10 years’ teaching/research experience with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates; OR an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. and 10 years’ relevant experience.
• Professor – Law: LL.M. and Ph.D. in Law, plus other UGC 2018 conditions for Professor.
• Professor – Civil/Electronics & Communication Engineering: Ph.D. in the relevant field with first class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level; minimum 10 years’ teaching/research/industry experience (at least 3 years as Associate Professor); at least 6 SCI/UGC/AICTE-listed publications at Associate Professor level with 2 successful Ph.D. supervisions, OR 10 such publications.
• Associate Professor (Human Development & Family Studies, Hindi): Ph.D. in the relevant discipline; Master’s with at least 55% marks; 8 years’ teaching/research experience with 7 peer-reviewed publications and a research score of 75 as per UGC 2018 norms.
• Assistant Professor – English: Master’s degree with 55% marks and NET/SLET/SET (or Ph.D. as per UGC exemption conditions), OR a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 globally (QS/THE/ARWU).
• Assistant Professor – Education (as per NCTE Regulations): Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences (55%) + M.Ed. (55%), OR PG in Education (55%) + B.Ed./B.El.Ed. (55%); plus UGC-NET/JRF/Ph.D. in Education. For Curriculum & Pedagogic subjects, a relevant PG subject + M.Ed. (55% each) is required; for Music/Fine Arts, only a PG degree in the subject with 55% marks is required.
• Professor-cum-Resident Director: Same eligibility as Professor (Category A or B above) plus three years of administrative experience for direct recruitment; for deputation, holding an analogous Academic Level-14 post, or at least 3 years in Academic Level-13A and above as Associate Professor or equivalent.
• Associate Professor-cum-Deputy Director (CSSI): Ph.D. in any Social Science subject; Master’s with 55% marks; 8 years’ relevant experience with 7 publications and a research score of 75.
• Assistant Professor-cum-Assistant Director (CSSI): Master’s degree in Social Science with 55% marks and NET/SLET/SET (or Ph.D. exemption as per UGC norms), OR a foreign-university Ph.D. ranked in the top 500 globally.

BBAU Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

For Non Teaching Posts (Group B and C)

• Screening of applications as per eligibility criteria; the ratio of candidates called for interview to vacancies is generally up to 1:15.
• Written test with an objective-type qualifying paper (Paper I, 100 marks, minimum 40% qualifying marks) and a descriptive-type paper (Paper II, 100 marks); only candidates clearing Paper I are evaluated in Paper II.

• The University may, at its discretion, hold a single written (descriptive) test and skill test instead of the two-stage process, depending on the post and number of candidates.

For Teaching Posts

• Selection is made purely on the basis of Interview. Meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee a call for interview.
• The Screening Committee shortlists candidates as per University rules and UGC Regulations, 2018 (using the Academic Score in Appendix II, Table 3A, for shortlisting only, wherever applicable).
