The Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) 4th (IR) Battalion, Rajamahendravaram has released Notification No. 01/2026 on 24 August 2026 on the official website of the East Godavari District Administration. A total of 37 vacancies have been announced for Record Assistant, Office Subordinate, Sweeper, Scavenger, Cook, Dhobi and Barber posts on an outsourcing basis.

Candidates aged 18 to 42 years who have the required educational qualification ranging from 7th Class/Read & Write to Intermediate, depending on the post are eligible to apply. The application process will begin on 27 August 2026 at 10:00 AM and candidates must submit their completed applications by 05 September 2026 at 5:00 PM.

APSP Rajamahendravaram Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

A total of 37 vacancies are being filled across seven posts. The post-wise vacancy break-up is given below.

Reservation points for each post (Open Competition, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C and EWS) are provided in the official notification and will be applied as per Rule 22 of the AP State and Subordinate Services Rules and related Government Orders in force.

APSP Rajamahendravaram Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria and Qualification

Educational qualification requirements are different for each post, as listed below.

Additional eligibility conditions applicable to all posts:

• The candidate must be of sound health and free from bodily defects or infirmities that would render them unfit for the service.
• The candidate’s character and antecedents must qualify them for the service.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• A person in a bigamous marriage is not eligible for appointment.
• A person dismissed from a State or Central Government service, or from an undertaking of the Central/State Government or local/other authorities, is not eligible.
• A person convicted by a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude is not eligible.
• Only candidates who studied in the erstwhile East Godavari District (Class IV to X, as per the Presidential Order) will be treated as Local Candidates; all others will be treated as Non-Local Candidates.

All seven posts – Record Assistant, Office Subordinate, Sweeper, Scavenger, Cook, Dhobi and Barber – carry a monthly remuneration of Rs. 15,000/-, as this is an outsourcing basis appointment.

APSP Rajamahendravaram Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection procedure is different for the office-based posts (Record Assistant, Office Subordinate) and the skill-based posts (Sweeper, Scavenger, Cook, Dhobi, Barber).

Record Assistant – Selection Process (Total: 100 Marks)

The Written Test (up to AP SSC/10th Class standard) covers Telugu Language (10 marks), English Language (10 marks), General Knowledge (15 marks), Mathematics (10 marks) and Social Studies (10 marks). The Computer Practical Test covers practical knowledge of MS Office. The Interview assesses communication skills, general awareness, aptitude for office work, personality, attitude and suitability for the post.

Office Subordinate – Selection Process (Total: 100 Marks)

The Written Test (up to AP SSC/10th Class standard) covers Telugu Language (15 marks), English Language (15 marks), General Knowledge (15 marks), Mathematics (15 marks) and Social Studies (15 marks). The Interview assesses communication skills, general awareness, aptitude for office work, personality, attitude and suitability for the post.

Cook, Dhobi, Barber, Sweeper and Scavenger – Selection Process (Total: 100 Marks each)

Cook Skill Test (60 Marks, 90 Minutes)

Dhobi Skill Test (60 Marks, 45 Minutes)

Barber Skill Test (60 Marks, 45 Minutes)

Sweeper Skill Test (60 Marks, 45 Minutes)

Scavenger Skill Test (60 Marks, 45 Minutes)

For all posts, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 against the number of vacancies, based on merit in the written/skill test, though the Selection Committee may change this ratio if necessary. The final merit list will be prepared based on total marks secured across all stages.

APSP Rajamahendravaram Recruitment 2026 Documents Required

The following self-attested documents (attested by a Gazetted Officer) must be enclosed with the filled-in application:

1. Filled-in application form with a latest passport-size photo affixed
2. Attested copy of the SSC (or equivalent) marks memo
3. Attested copies of marks memos of all years of the qualifying examination
4. Pass certificate(s) of the qualification prescribed for the post concerned
5. Proof of appearance for the qualifying examination, wherever applicable
6. Attested copy of the provisional/permanent qualification certificate
7. Attested copy of the permanent registration certificate of the respective Council/Board
8. Attested copy of the latest caste certificate (for BC/SC/ST candidates)
9. Attested copy of the latest EWS certificate (for OC candidates claiming EWS)
10. Attested copies of study certificates from Class IV to X, as applicable to the post
11. Attested copy of experience certificate (if applicable)
12. Attested copy of Aadhaar certificate (mandatory)

If the caste/EWS certificate is not enclosed, the candidate will be treated under the Open Category. If study certificates are not enclosed, the candidate will be treated as Non-Local. If any required self-attested copy is missing, the application will be summarily rejected.

APSP Rajamahendravaram Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions

• This recruitment is restricted to candidates who studied in the erstwhile East Godavari District only, based on Class IV to X study certificates as per the Presidential Order.
• Selection is on an outsourcing basis; selected candidates will not be regarded as members of the regular service and will not have any preferential right to any other Government appointment. Their engagement may be terminated at any time for administrative reasons.
• Married women employees on outsourcing basis are eligible for 180 days of paid maternity leave for the first two deliveries, as per G.O.Ms. No. 17, Finance (HR-I&Plg-Policy) Department, dated 31.01.2019.
• Candidates who fail to appear for the Written Examination, Skill Test or Interview for any reason will be marked absent and awarded zero marks for that stage.
• No private practice is allowed during the period of employment, and staff must stay at their Bonafide Headquarters and be available 24 hours on call during emergencies.
• Furnishing incorrect information, suppressing facts, or making false declarations regarding eligibility can lead to summary rejection and debarment from this and future recruitments.
• The decision of the Department/District Selection Committee at all stages, including selection and rejection of candidature, is final and binding.
