Senior Resident (Medical Candidates)

• A Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) or equivalent in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute, as provided under the Residency Scheme. All Residency Scheme terms and conditions apply.
• Hospital Administration: MD in Hospital Administration, or full-time Master’s in Hospital Administration (after MBBS), or DNB in Hospital Administration.
• Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank: MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine or Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion.
• Trauma & Emergency Medicine: MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine/Orthopedics/General Surgery/Anaesthesiology/General Medicine/Pediatrics.
• Super-specialty departments: DM/M.Ch/DNB or equivalent in the respective discipline, from a recognized University/Institute under the Residency Scheme.
• Dentistry: MDS.

Senior Demonstrator (Non-Medical Candidates – Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Biostatistics only)

M.Sc./M.Biotech/M.Stat degree in the concerned subject, and a Ph.D. in the concerned or an allied subject, from a recognized University/Institute.

AIIMS Kalyani Senior Resident Selection Process 2026

There is no written examination. Selection is based purely on performance in a Personal Interview.

• Candidates can apply for more than one post/department, filling a separate application form and paying separate fees for each.
• Applications and documents are verified at the time of reporting for interview; only eligible candidates (as per the eligibility list uploaded on the Institute website) are allowed to appear.
• A merit list (selected and waiting list) is prepared category-wise (UR/OBC/SC/ST), based on interview performance.
• If candidates are not found eligible in the advertised category, candidates from other categories may be considered against that category on a temporary basis.
• Any vacancy arising due to non-joining or resignation by a selected candidate will be offered to candidates from the waiting list, in order of merit.
• The final result will be displayed on www.aiimskalyani.edu.in.

2. Before starting, keep the following ready as scanned files: all certificates (PDF), a scanned photograph (image file), a scanned signature (image file), and a scanned payment receipt (PDF).
3. Fill in the application form, selecting your preferred department(s) and choice of online/offline interview mode – this choice is final and cannot be changed later.
4. Submit the online application on or before 10 September 2026, 5:00 PM. No hard copy of the application is accepted at this stage.
5. The joining link (for those opting for the online interview) will be shared with eligible candidates before the interview date; the eligibility list will be uploaded on the Institute website.
6. On the day of the interview, bring the completed application in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of all certificates/documents supporting age, educational qualification, and experience.

Application Fee

Fee is payable via NEFT in favour of “AIIMS KALYANI INTERNAL RESOURCES ACCOUNT”, A/c No. 41277688529, IFSC SBIN0063963, State Bank of India, AIIMS Kalyani Branch. Fee once remitted is non-refundable under any circumstances; applications without the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected.

Other Conditions

• Candidates already in service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer at the time of interview, and must take prior permission from their employer before applying.
• Candidates applying under EWS will be considered only if EWS applicants are not available for that post, and will then be treated as UR candidates with no category-specific relaxations; the fee will not be refunded in such cases.
• PwBD candidates must submit a Disability Certificate signed by a duly constituted Medical Board of a State/Central Government hospital and countersigned by the Medical Superintendent/CMO/Head of Institution; joining is subject to medical fitness certification.
• Selected candidates are likely to be posted at rural health and urban centres attached to the Institute, for a period decided by the Institute.
• Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification. Candidates must not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
• AIIMS Kalyani reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies, and to amend, cancel, or change this advertisement, in whole or part, without prior notice.
• Any dispute arising from this recruitment is subject to the jurisdiction of the Calcutta High Court.
