ESIC MH Baddi Vacancy Details 2026

A total of 47 posts are being filled across four categories of engagement. The category-wise and department-wise break-up is given below.

1. Full Time/Part Time Specialist – 13 Posts

Engagement period: one year, extendable up to three years, subject to approval and satisfactory performance. Preference is given to full-time contractual specialists.

Category-wise break-up (Specialist posts): UR – 06, SC – 02, ST – 01, OBC – 03, EWS – 01, Total – 13.

2. Senior Resident – 29 Posts

Engagement period: one year, extendable up to three years, subject to approval and satisfactory performance.

Category-wise break-up (Senior Resident posts): UR – 09, OBC – 10, SC – 05, ST – 02, EWS – 03, Total – 29.

3. Part Time/Full Time Super Specialist (Cardiology) – 1 Post

Engagement period: one year, or attainment of 69 years of age, or till joining of a regular Super Specialist, whichever is earlier.

4. Senior Resident – Against GDMO – 4 Posts

Engagement period: one year, on contract basis, against the post of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO).

ESIC MH Baddi Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Full Time/Part Time Specialist: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university, with 3 years’ experience after acquiring the PG Degree, or 5 years’ experience after the Diploma.
• Senior Resident: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university. Non-PG candidates need 2 years of working experience in the concerned department.
• Super Specialist (Cardiology): Post-Graduation qualification in the concerned specialty, registered with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council, along with a DM/M.Ch in the concerned super specialty.
• Senior Resident (Against GDMO): PG Degree/Diploma or an MBBS Degree from a recognised university, with at least 2 years of working experience in the same discipline in which the candidate is proposed to be engaged.

Age Limit

Professional Indemnity Insurance (Specialist & Super Specialist Posts)

Selected Specialists and the Super Specialist must hold a professional indemnity policy covering the engagement period. The minimum sum assured per annum is as follows, and a copy of the insurance policy and premium receipt must be submitted within 7 days of the date of engagement:

• Rs. 30 lakhs: Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, etc.
• Rs. 20 lakhs: General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Obstetricians, etc.
• Rs. 10 lakhs: Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists, Chest Physicians (Pulmonologists), etc.

ESIC MH Baddi Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

Selection is made through a walk-in interview conducted by an Interview Board at the Office of the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Model Hospital, Katha, Baddi. The decision of the Interview Board is final on all aspects of selection, and no further correspondence will be entertained. Selection is also subject to the candidate proving medical fitness and successful verification of character and antecedents.

Documents Required for ESIC MH Baddi Walk-in Interview

Candidates must bring original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the following documents at the time of the interview:

1. Age proof
2. MBBS Certificate
3. Two recent passport-size photographs
4. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates (OBC candidates must submit the latest Central Government format certificate, not more than one year old, from the date of interview)
5. PG Degree/Diploma Certificate/DM/M.Ch Certificate, as applicable
6. State Medical Council/MCI Registration Certificate with MS/MD/DNB qualification (for Senior Resident and Specialist posts) or DM qualification (for the Super Specialist post)

How to Apply for ESIC MH Baddi Recruitment 2026

There is no online application process for this recruitment. Eligible and willing candidates must follow the walk-in interview process described below.

1. Download and duly fill the prescribed Application Form available with the advertisement on the official website.
2. Affix a self-attested photograph on the filled application form.
3. Attach self-attested photocopies of certificates related to educational qualification, age, category, and experience.
4. Report to the Office of the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Model Hospital, Katha, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh – 173205, on 9 September 2026 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
5. Carry all original certificates and documents for verification at the time of the interview.
6. Government service candidates must additionally produce a No Objection Certificate from their department at the time of interview.

ESIC MH Baddi Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining.
• Selected candidates must pay a security deposit of Rs. 50,000 through a Demand Draft in favour of “ESIC Fund Account No. 1” payable at Baddi at the time of joining. This amount is refundable after successful completion of the contract period, on production of a “No Dues Certificate.”
• Selected candidates must enter into an agreement with the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Baddi, on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100, the cost of which is borne by the candidate.
• The competent authority reserves the right to fill up all, some, or none of the advertised posts without assigning any reason.
• The number of vacancies is likely to change depending on actual requirement at the time of interview.
• The engagement is purely contractual and does not confer any right to preference for regular appointment or absorption in ESIC.
• No service benefits such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion, or leave are admissible.
• Hostel accommodation, quarters, and uniform will not be provided.
• Absence from duty for 15 days without proper permission will be treated as voluntary abandonment of the contractual engagement.
• Part-time specialists are not entitled to any kind of leave, and the minimum working hours for part-time specialists is 16 hours per week.
• Candidates suffering from 40% or more of the relevant disability are eligible for PH category reservation, subject to a valid certificate from a Government hospital.
• Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency need not apply under the Senior Residency Scheme.
• Accreditation with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for DNB courses at ESIC MH Baddi is currently under process.
