For Superspeciality departments, DM/DrNB in the concerned superspeciality is preferred over MD/DNB in General Medicine. For Specialty departments, a Post Graduate Degree/DNB, or Diploma in the concerned speciality after MBBS with TCMC registration is required.

• ICU: PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anaesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Critical Care Medicine, registered with the Medical Council.
• Casualty: PG Degree in Emergency Medicine is preferred. In its absence, PG degree or PG diploma holders in Anaesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Critical Care Medicine registered with the Medical Council will be considered. In the absence of postgraduate qualifications, MBBS doctors with at least two years’ experience in the concerned speciality and registered with the Medical Council may be selected for the Casualty department.

ESIC Kollam Age Limit 2026

Candidates who have already completed Senior Residency for 3 years in any Central Institutions are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident.

Total emoluments at Level 11 (as per VIIth CPC) are approximately Rs. 1,38,108/- for PG Degree holders. An amount of Rs. 1,688/- will be deducted for Senior Residents who possess only a Diploma, and Rs. 2,813/- will be deducted if the Senior Resident does not possess a Diploma/Degree.

The application fee must be paid by way of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Employees’ State Insurance Fund – Account No 1,” payable at Kollam, and submitted at the time of the interview.

ESIC Kollam Selection Process 2026

Selection for all posts will be based on qualification, experience, and a walk-in interview. The interview will be conducted at ESIC Model & Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam. Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST categories must produce a valid caste certificate issued by the Tahsildar/Revenue Divisional Officer; OBC certificates must confirm the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer, and EWS certificates must be valid and issued in the prescribed government format. Candidates applying under the PWD category must possess a disability certificate issued by a duly constituted Medical Board of a State or Central Government hospital/institution.

The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the service of an appointee at any time, even before completion of tenure, without assigning any reason, by giving one month’s notice, or immediately in case of disciplinary action. Similarly, the engaged person must give one month’s prior notice before resigning or pay an amount equivalent to one month’s remuneration in lieu of notice.

How to Apply for ESIC Kollam Recruitment 2026

1. Report at ESIC Model & Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam, near the Medical Superintendent’s Room, between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on 03.09.2026 for registration.

3. Bring all original documents, including caste certificate (if applicable), along with one set of photocopies of all original documents.
4. Carry two recent passport-size photographs (one to be affixed on the application form).
5. Carry the requisite application fee in the form of a Demand Draft at the time of the interview.
6. Attend the interview; selection is based on qualification, experience, and interview performance.

Other Important Terms & Conditions

• Private practice of any kind is not allowed, except for Part-Time Super Specialists/Part-Time Specialists.
• Vacancies indicated in the notification may change as per actual requirement on the date of interview.
• The appointing authority reserves the right to cancel the offer/advertisement without assigning any reason.
• On selection, the candidate must enter into an agreement with the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Model & Super Specialty Hospital, Kollam, on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 200/-.
• The selected candidate must submit a security deposit of Rs. 15,000/- as a DD in favour of ESIC Account No. 2, payable at Kollam, at the time of joining; this is refundable after successful completion of the contract and production of a no-due certificate.
• Selected Specialists/Super Specialists must have a professional indemnity policy covering the period of contractual engagement, submitted within 7 days of engagement. Minimum sum assured: Rs. 30 lakh for Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, etc.; Rs. 20 lakh for General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Obstetricians, etc.; and at least Rs. 10 lakh for Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists, etc.
• Candidates working in Central/State Government institutions must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current authority and submit it in due course.
• Part-time engagement of one contractual employee in two ESIC hospitals at the same time is not permissible.
• PWD candidates will be selected against suitable/notified posts as per government rules.
