Haryana Police SPO Eligibility 2026

  • Eligible category: Ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), or ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions.
  • Educational qualification: Minimum 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Minimum service: At least 5 years of service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs.
  • Candidates must not have been removed/dismissed from service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, or medical unfitness.
  • Medical category at discharge must be ‘A’.
  • Character certificate at discharge must be ‘Exemplary/Outstanding’.
  • Preference is given to candidates with experience handling telecommunication equipment, particularly those who served in the Signal Corps of the Armed Forces/CAPFs.
  • As per the affidavit requirement, candidates must not have any pending criminal case in any court, and must not have been previously appointed as an SPO in any other district of Haryana.

SPOs undergo a 15-day capsule course after selection to reorient themselves to Police Department requirements. They will not be posted at their home police station, though preference is given to the home district at deployment, subject to post availability. Haryana Police SPO Selection Process

Important: No written or physical test will be conducted for engagement of SPOs.
  1. Candidates appear in person on the date fixed for their district with the completed application form, original documents, one set of attested photocopies, affidavit, and photographs.
  2. Documents pertaining to qualification, age, caste/category, and other certificates claimed in the application are verified from the concerned issuing authorities.
  3. Selected candidates undergo a medical examination before an appointment letter is issued.
  4. Character and antecedents of selected candidates are verified from the concerned district police authority by the Police Telecommunication Wing, Haryana, before issuing appointment letters.
  5. Selected SPOs undergo a 15-day capsule course to reorient themselves to Police Department requirements.

How to Apply for Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026

Important: There is no online application for this engagement. Candidates must apply entirely offline, in person, on the date assigned to their district.
  1. Download and fill the application form (in CAPITAL LETTERS) covering personal details, service details (enlistment/enrollment date, discharge date, medical category and character certificate at discharge), Aadhaar, PAN, bank passbook, category, education, and address details.
  2. Prepare the required affidavit declaring permanent residence, ex-servicemen/disbanded HSISF-HAP status, absence of pending criminal cases, no prior SPO appointment in another Haryana district, and willingness to serve and follow department rules.
  3. Identify the date assigned to your district from the walk-in schedule above.
  4. Report in person from 9:00 AM on that date at Police Lines Telecommunication, Opposite Sector-25, Near Village Moginand, Panchkula, Haryana, with the completed application form, affidavit, all original documents, one set of attested photocopies, and 4 passport-size colour photographs.
Important: Incomplete applications will not be entertained. No application will be accepted after the prescribed date for the concerned district. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for document submission/interview.
