Common Eligibility Points

  • A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 is required for all medical posts (candidates with Part-II qualifications must also satisfy Section 13(3) conditions).
  • Only experience acquired after obtaining the essential qualifying degree for the applied post is counted.
  • DNB Equivalence: Candidates holding DNB (broad specialty) or DrNB (super-specialty) as their essential qualification must provide documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch as per MCI/NMC notification dated 31.10.2018, along with proof that training was done in an institution with an attached hospital (or 500+ bed hospital recognized by NBE), or one year of senior residency in an NMC-recognized teaching institution after passing DNB/DrNB.
  • SC/ST candidates may be granted relaxation of up to 1 year in the required experience, at the discretion of the competent authority.

All grades carry usual allowances admissible to Central Government employees of similar status at Jodhpur, plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for medically qualified candidates only. Probation period is 2 years; employees are governed by the New Pension Scheme. Private practice of any kind is prohibited.

AIIMS Jodhpur Faculty Selection Process

There is no written examination. Selection is through bio-data-based shortlisting followed by a Personal Interview at AIIMS Jodhpur.

  • Merely possessing the prescribed minimum qualification does not entitle a candidate to selection; the Selection Committee shortlists candidates for interview based on bio-data.
  • Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents at the time of interview.
  • Interviews will be held at AIIMS Jodhpur; no TA/DA is paid for appearing.
  • Minimum interview cut-off marks: 60% for EWS/UR, 55% for OBC, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD categories.

  2. Register and complete the online application form, ensuring photo and signature are clearly visible in preview (small or unclear images will lead to rejection).
  3. Upload Educational Qualification Certificates as specified in the Recruitment Rules, along with any Certificate of Equivalence if applicable, and a valid Experience Certificate stating exact dates and nature of experience.
  4. Upload category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC) in the prescribed format, if claiming reservation.
  5. Upload No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in Government/Semi-Government/Government-funded institutions.
  6. Pay the prescribed application fee online through the AIIMS Jodhpur payment gateway.
  7. Submit the application before the closing date and retain a copy of the application form and payment proof for your records (no physical documents need to be sent).

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer, mandatory for candidates currently employed in Government/Semi-Government/Government-funded autonomous institutions

  • Relieving Certificate from present employer, required at the time of joining for candidates already in Government service

Important Conditions

  • If a candidate indicates a category (EWS/SC/ST/OBC/General) in the application form but later requests a change, such requests will not be entertained by the Institute.
  • OBC candidates must submit a valid caste certificate in the DoPT-prescribed format with non-creamy layer status; a certificate issued in FY 2026-27 is required, though older certificates/acknowledgement slips are provisionally accepted pending renewal.
  • EWS candidates must submit a valid Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2026-27 (based on FY 2025-26 income), issued by a competent authority; older certificates are provisionally accepted pending renewal.
  • PwBD reservation (4% horizontal) applies to posts identified suitable for specific benchmark disabilities across 11 departments: Biochemistry, Microbiology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Psychiatry, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Urology, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiation Oncology/Radiotherapy, Anatomy, Pharmacology, and Dentistry. Out of 190 total posts, 7 posts (1 Professor-HH, 1 Additional Professor-Locomotor, 1 Associate Professor-HH, 4 Assistant Professor) are earmarked for PwBD candidates.
  • If an EWS-earmarked vacancy cannot be filled due to non-availability of a suitable EWS candidate, it will not be carried forward as backlog; other category candidates may be provisionally allowed to apply, considered only as UR if the EWS vacancy remains otherwise unfilled.
  • Canvassing of any kind will result in disqualification. The candidate must not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
  • Selected candidates are likely to be posted at rural health and urban centers attached to the Institute for a period decided by the Institute.
