BHEL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for BHEL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 varies by category, but preference across all three goes to candidates from Tamil Nadu institutions.

BHEL Apprentice Qualification

Only candidates who completed their qualifying course (Degree/Diploma/ITI) in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible; qualifications via Distance Learning, Part-Time, Correspondence, or Sandwich courses are not considered. Candidates already undergoing or having completed apprenticeship elsewhere under the applicable Apprentices Act, or with one year or more of work experience, are not eligible. BHEL Apprentice Age Limit

The age limit is common across all three categories: minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years, as on 1 August 2026, for General category candidates.

BHEL Apprentice Selection Process

Reservation for dependents of regular BHEL employees (serving, retired, or deceased) is governed as per company rules. Graduate and Technician Apprentice

1. Register on the MHRD NATS 2.0 New Portal at nats.education.gov.in and note the 12/16-digit Student Enrolment Number.

3. Apply online on the BHEL Trichy portal at trichy.bhel.com using the RDSDE (NAPS) registration number.
4. Register on the BHEL portal, verify via OTP, create a password, log in, and fill the application form.
5. Upload all required documents and submit; retain a copy for Document Verification.
