UERC Assistant Director Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

The Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC) has invited applications for three Assistant Director (Group-B) posts on direct recruitment basis: one each in Technical, Tariff and Law, all unreserved (UR) and at Pay Level 10. Applications in the Commission’s format must be sent by speed post only to the Dy. Director (Administration), UERC, Dehradun, so as to reach by 7 December 2026. The notice is dated 5 November 2026.

• Mode: speed post only. Applications received after the last date or by any other medium will not be considered in any circumstances.
• Deadline: the application must reach by 7 December 2026.
• Envelope: write “Application for the Post of Assistant Director (……………..)” (as applicable) on top.
• Several posts: a candidate applying for more than one post must submit a separate application form with the required documents for each post. One form is valid for one post only.
• Government and public-sector employees: those in Central/State/UT Government service, or in the service of an Autonomous/Statutory Body, PSU or Corporation on regular basis, should apply through proper channel, with a “No Objection Certificate” from the parent Department. They may also send an advance copy directly to avoid delay, and must produce the No Objection Certificate before the interview, if called.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

The three posts add up to the total of 3. The notice prints the pay as Pay Level 10 and gives no rupee amount.

Assistant Director (Technical) (Group-B)

• Graduate Degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electrical & Electronics/Power System/Power Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from recognized university/institution.
• And M. Tech. from recognized university/institution, or MBA in Power Management from recognized university/institution, or two years PG Diploma in Power Management or PG Programme in Management (Energy) from recognized university/institution.

Assistant Director (Tariff) (Group-B)

• Graduate Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university/institute of repute with Post graduate degree or diploma/MBA in Finance from recognized university/institute of repute.
• Or CA/ICWA.

Assistant Director (Law) (Group-B)

• Graduate Degree in Law from recognized university/institute of repute.

Common conditions

• The Graduate Degree is considered only in the branches specified for each post. No other or equivalent branches are accepted, and the Commission will not entertain queries seeking clarification on this.
• Age limit: the maximum age limit is 42 years as per State Government rules. Relaxation in the upper age limit applies as per State Government rules. The notice does not print a minimum age.
• Eligibility and age are determined as on the last date of submission of application.
• Experience: the notice asks for details of experience “if any” and prints no experience requirement for any post.

• Self-attested copies of certificates/marks-sheets for educational qualifications, starting from matriculation.
• Category certificate.
• Recent passport size photograph.
• Details of experience, if any.
• No Objection Certificate from the parent Department, for regular employees of Central/State/UT Government, Autonomous/Statutory Bodies, PSUs or Corporations (to be produced prior to interview, if called).

Selection Process

The Commission reserves the right to shortlist the applications. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted or called for interview. The notice does not give an interview date, venue or any test pattern.

• Any lobbying or canvassing would disqualify the candidates.
• Incomplete applications, or applications submitted in a different format, are liable to be summarily rejected.
• The Commission reserves the right not to fill the posts. In that case the notice of such vacancy will be treated as deferred/cancelled.
