Who Can Apply for FMU Recruitment 2026?

• PDF/Research Associate (Chemistry): post-doctoral research experience in smart material synthesis/design and their environmental applications; hands-on instrument handling for morphology study/materials characterisations
• PDF/Research Associate (Physics): post-doctoral research experience in smart material synthesis/design, thin films, energy storage device and sensors applications
• Research Assistant: project/work experience during or after the master degree level in relevant domain shall get preference
• Lab Technician: working experience in a scientific laboratory and handling various scientific instruments with knowledge in MS Office (Computer)

PDF/Research Associate (2 posts)

Qualification required: Full time M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Chemical sciences or any allied subjects, and Doctoral Degree in Chemistry/Material Sciences or any equivalent discipline (one post); Full time M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Physics/Physical sciences or any allied subjects, and Doctoral Degree in Physics/Material Sciences or any equivalent discipline (one post); From a UGC/Govt. recognized University or research institute. Experience required: Desirable: post-doctoral research experience in smart materials and hands-on instrument handling experience. Age limit: Below 35 years. Pay: ₹ 50,000 (Consolidated).

Research Assistant (2 posts)

Qualification required: One post: Full time M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or any allied subjects. One post: Full time M.Sc. or equivalent degree in physics or any allied subjects. From a UGC/Govt. recognized University or equivalent institute with at least 55% or equivalent grade. Experience required: Desirable: Project/Work experience during or after the master degree level in relevant domain shall get preference. Age limit: Below 28 years. Pay: ₹ 20,000 (Consolidated).

Lab Technician (2 posts)

Qualification required: Full time M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Physics or any allied subjects from a UGC/Govt. recognized University or equivalent institute with at least 55% or equivalent grade. Experience required: Desirable: Working experience in a scientific laboratory and handling various scientific instruments with knowledge in MS Office (Computer). Age limit: Below 28 years. Pay: ₹ 20,000 (Consolidated).

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Purely temporary engagement with consolidated remuneration, coterminous with the project
• Initially engaged for one year, may be extended up to a maximum of five years on year-to-year basis subject to satisfactory performance or end of project, whichever is earlier
• Performance review shall be held before extension
• No right or claim to absorption in Fakir Mohan University
• Can be terminated at any point of time upon non-satisfactory performance
• Leave may be availed as per the university provision of leave for staff engaged in various projects
