• Only retired Central/State Government, PSU or Semi-Government (non-pensionable) employees may apply
• Candidate should be free from vigilance/disciplinary angle
• Undertaking that candidate is not simultaneously engaged in any conflicting assignment, consultancy or contract
• Medical Fitness Certificate from a Govt. Civil Surgeon before joining

Desirable:

• Retired Government Engineers having experience in building construction and maintenance will be given preference

Pay and Terms of Engagement

Retired Central / State Government employees (JE / AE / EE) get last drawn Basic Pay minus pension drawn.

• Initial period not exceeding one year, extendable by one more year subject to satisfactory performance
• Total period shall not exceed two years and shall not go beyond the age of 65 years
• Extension is not automatic and confers no right to renewal
• May be terminated by either side on one month’s notice
• Purely contractual; no right to regular appointment, regularisation, seniority or promotion
