Sports Authority of India (SAI), New Delhi, Across India, has invited applications for 17 posts of High Performance Coach under Advt No. A-12/8/2026-66. The online application is open from 30 October 2026 to 1 December 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Diploma in coaching from SAI NS NIS, Patiala or equivalent; Participation in Olympics/Paralympics/Asian Games/World Championship with certificate course in coaching; Dronacharya Awardee
• Experience: Officers who have worked under Central/State Governments/UT Administrations in analogous post or with regular service of 05 years in Level-12 (Rs. 78800-209200).
• Age limit: Maximum 64 years (as on opening date for submission of applications)

Other conditions:

• Candidate will be required to attend office on regular basis and would not take up any other assignment during contract period
• Will abide by CCS (Conduct) Rules 1964
• Services can be discontinued after giving 15 days notice if performance is not found satisfactory

Desirable:

• 5 years of coaching experience in relevant sports from any government/recognized institute/private organization

SAI High Performance Coach Job Description

The selected candidate will be required to:

• Attend office on a regular basis and not take up any other assignment during the contract period.
• Maintain office decorum and discipline.
• Handle confidential information crucial to the operation of SAI, including coaching data, performance analysis, psychological testing and training data of athletes, business and financial information, business methods and practices, technology and technological strategies, marketing strategies, trade secrets, and other confidential information.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Period of 01 year or till the age of 64 years whichever is earlier
• Can be utilized by any Scheme/project funded by Government of India along with SAI for a period of one year
