SAI Technical Officials Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 40 Posts

Sports Authority of India (SAI) will engage 40 Technical Officials for the conduct of Softball Sport in the Khelo India Youth Games 2026, Telangana, under Notification No. 05/2026/Softball. A valid license or pass in an officiating examination is mandatory, and candidates aged 60 or more will not be considered. The application form is available only online on the SAI website from 2 November 2026 to 12 November 2026, and applications by email or post will not be accepted.

About SAI Technical Officials

The Sports Authority of India is engaging these Technical Officials for one event: the Softball competition of the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2026, to be held in Telangana. The notice is issued by the Khelo India Events wing and signed by Gunupuru Madhu Harsha, AD, Khelo India Events, Sports Authority of India. It is an engagement for the conduct of the Games.

Who Can Apply

The official notification does not specify the minimum educational qualification. What it requires is officiating credentials, judged as follows:

• National Technical Officials: only the officiating examination/certificate issued by the competent authority till the year 2026 shall be considered.
• International Technical Officials: the relevant certificate issued by the International Federation.
• Experience: officiating experience at State/National level and in Khelo India Games/National Games earns marks; only tournaments held between 2021-2026 shall be considered.

Selection and Interview

SAI selects the Technical Officials by scrutiny of applications on a total of 100 marks. The notice does not mention a written test or an interview.

Officiating License (Max 20 Marks) – Mandatory

• Valid license/pass in officiating examination: 20 marks

Officiating Experience – State/National Level (Max 40 Marks)

Officiating Experience in Khelo India Games/National Games (Max 40 Marks)

For both experience heads, only tournaments held between 2021-2026 shall be considered.

Additional Criteria

• A total number of 40 TOs shall be selected for the Games.
• The ratio of male to female Technical Officials shall be maintained at 60:40.
• Female TOs scoring a minimum of 50 marks are to be selected directly.
• A maximum of 5 TOs per State/UT are to be selected.
• A candidate of age 60 or more shall not be considered.
• In case of a tie due to the above conditions, the steering committee will finalise the shortlisted official(s).
