Age Limit

Educational Qualification and Experience

• A degree in the science faculty from a recognised university, with Radiology as a subject.
• 3 years’ experience as a Mammography Technician in a government-recognised hospital.
• Knowledge of Marathi is required.

Selection Process

• MBMC will check the applications it receives and prepare a draft merit list of eligible candidates.
• Appointments will be made from this list in order of merit, based on MBMC’s needs and the notice’s terms and conditions.
• Selected candidates must report for appointment with their original eligibility and experience documents, a passport-size photograph and one set of self-attested photocopies.
• MBMC will not write to candidates who are found ineligible.

Service Conditions

• The first appointment order will be for six months, on an honorary, purely temporary basis.
• The selected candidate must join within 3 days of receiving the appointment order.
• The job requires at least eight hours of duty a day, depending on the hospital’s needs. The head of department sets the working hours. Because this is an essential service, extra work may be needed when required.
• The post is entirely honorary and on contract. It gives no right to claim a permanent post, absorption into MBMC service or the benefits of permanent staff. Candidates also cannot take this claim to court.
• MBMC may end the appointment without notice. It does not have to give one month’s notice.
• To resign, you must give at least 15 days’ written notice. If you do not, that month’s honorarium will not be paid.
• Service can be ended without notice for doubtful integrity, misconduct or improper behaviour, misleading seniors, absence or disobeying orders. It can also be ended at any stage if your work is not satisfactory.
• The Medical Health Officer or head of department decides what the work involves.
• The Commissioner may change the number of posts or other details, change the process, or cancel the recruitment at any stage without giving a reason.
• Your candidature will be cancelled automatically if you are found ineligible or if you use misconduct or pressure at any stage. If you have already been appointed, the appointment will be ended.

1. Download the prescribed application form from the MBMC website. The notice says applications not made on this form within the deadline will not be accepted.
2. Paste a passport-size photograph in the box on the form and sign below it.
3. Fill in your full name in Marathi and in English capital letters. Then add your permanent and current addresses, phone number, email, date of birth, age, sex, nationality, whether you are domiciled in Maharashtra, marital status and the languages you know.
4. List your educational qualifications from Class 10 upwards, giving percentages only. Do not give grades, SGPA or CGPA. Then add any additional qualifications and your computer qualification.
5. Give details of your experience: the institution, whether it is government, semi-government or private, the period, the total time and why you left.
6. Answer the question on court, criminal or disciplinary cases, list the copies you are attaching, and sign the declaration.
7. Complete and sign the undertaking (हमीपत्र) stating that no criminal case is registered against you.
