Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships (DLL), North Goa, Goa, has invited applications for the post of Technician (Electronics) under Advt No. 02/2026. Applications are to be sent offline and must reach the organisation by 8 December 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics or a combination of above from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: One year experience in the installation and maintenance of wireless transmitters, receivers, aerial systems and associated power plant.
• Age limit: 18 to 27 years (as on 8 December 2026)

Other conditions:

• Person with Disabilities (PwD) can apply.
• Final selected candidates are liable to be transferred anywhere in India.

Desirable:

• Experience in the handling of microwave equipment is desirable.

DLL Technician (Electronics) Job Description

• Installation, upgradation and maintenance of Aids to Navigation equipment’s at Deep Bhavan and Lighthouses.
• Installation, upgradation and Maintenance of Optic and Other related AtoN equipment at Deep Bhavan and Lighthouses.
• Rectification of faults in Aids to Navigation equipment’s at Deep Bhavan and Lighthouses.
• Rectification of faults in Optic and other related AtoN equipment at Deep Bhavan and Lighthouses.
• Any other works entrusted by the Director or Reporting Officer.

How Will DLL Select Candidates?

• Written Examination
• Trade Test
• Certificate Verification
• Written test consists of 100 multiple choice questions (40 marks for General Knowledge/Aptitude, 60 marks for Technical).
• 1/3rd negative marking for wrong answers.
• Qualified candidates will be called for a trade test which is qualifying in nature.

DLL Exam Pattern 2026

• 1/3rd of the mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Mobile phones, calculators and other devices are not allowed in the examination hall.

1. Download the application form from www.dgll.nic.in or www.ncs.gov.in.
2. Fill up the application in your own handwriting with blue or black ball point pen in capital letters.
3. Affix normal signature and left thumb impression.
4. Enclose self-attested photocopies of required certificates and an extra identical passport size photograph.
5. Send by speed post or registered post to The Director, Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, ‘Deep Bhavan’, Near GMC Stadium, Bambolim, North Goa, Goa – 403 202.
6. Make sure it reaches by 8 December 2026.

Other Points to Note

• Present vacancies are earmarked specifically for EWS category only.
• EWS certificate must be valid for Financial Year 2026-27 issued on the basis of Income for Financial Year 2025-26.
