Technologist (Nuclear Medicine)

Essential:

• B.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology from recognized university/institution.
• Or B.Sc in life sciences with post graduate diploma in Nuclear Medicine [Diploma in Medical Radio-Isotope Techniques (DMRIT)/Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology (DNMT)/Diploma in Fusion Imaging Technology (DFIT)].

Desirable: Experience in full-fledged Nuclear Medicine Centre having PET/CT, Gamma camera/SPECT/CT and radionuclide therapy will be preferred.

Technical Officer (Nuclear Medicine)

Essential:

• M.Sc Nuclear medicine technology from recognized university/institution.
• 5 years of experience as Nuclear Medicine technologist (B.Sc Nuclear Medicine or equivalent + 5 years experience).

Desirable:

• RSO level II certification.
• Experience in full-fledged Nuclear Medicine Centre having PET/CT, Gamma camera/SPECT/CT and radionuclide therapy will be preferred.

Senior Technical Officer (Nuclear Medicine)

Essential:

• M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology from recognized university/institution with 60% marks.
• Or M.Sc with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university/institution with post graduate diploma in Nuclear Medicine [Diploma in Medical Radio-Isotope Techniques (DMRIT)/Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology (DNMT)/Diploma in Fusion Imaging Technology (DFIT)] with minimum 50% marks.

Experience required:

• 02 years’ experience.
• Experience in full-fledged Nuclear Medicine Centre having PET/CT, Gamma camera/SPECT/CT and radionuclide therapy will be preferred.

Desirable:

• RSO level II certification.
• PhD in Nuclear medicine specialty.

The notice says the prescribed qualifications are only the minimum: having them does not by itself entitle a candidate to an interview or to selection. Pay and Tenure

Each post pays a consolidated monthly amount as shown in the vacancy table. The pay does not increase during the contract period. The emoluments are consolidated, as decided by the competent authority. The appointee does not get Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion or any other benefit given to regular Government servants. The appointee also cannot claim allowances or facilities given to the regular/permanent faculty of AIIMS Nagpur. If extra duties are assigned, no additional allowance is paid for them. Paid leave may be allowed at 01 day for each completed month of service.

• The appointment is purely on contract for 11 (Eleven) Months, counted from the date of joining. It ends earlier if regular appointments are made against these posts or another arrangement is made.
• The contract may be extended, depending on the institute’s needs and satisfactory performance. If it is not extended, it lapses automatically.
• The job cannot be regularized at any stage, and the appointee has no claim or right to regular appointment to any post of AIIMS Nagpur.
• Either side can end the appointment at any time with one month’s notice or one month’s salary. It can also be ended if the appointee fails to complete the first three months to the satisfaction of the competent authority. The competent authority can also terminate it before the end of the tenure without giving a reason.
• The appointment is whole-time. The appointee cannot take any other assignment, paid or unpaid, and private practice of any kind is prohibited.
• An appointee who applies elsewhere or resigns within the first 03 (three) months will not get a No Objection Certificate, a Relieving Letter or an Experience Certificate.
• Appointment depends on medical fitness, certified by the competent medical board. On appointment, the appointee must take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India or make a solemn affirmation.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview or written test, or for joining.

Selection and Interview

Selection is based on shortlisting, scrutiny of applications with document verification, and an interview. If a large number of applications is received, a screening test may be held to shortlist candidates for interview.

• Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for interview on the basis of educational qualification, relevant experience and/or shortlisting criteria decided by the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur.
• Scrutiny and document verification: Before the interview, a duly constituted committee checks each application and verifies documents for qualification, experience, category, age and so on. Only candidates declared eligible after this check can appear for the interview.
• Interview: The interview will be held at AIIMS Nagpur, or at another place and in another mode if the Executive Director decides so. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks (suitability standard) set by the Selection Committee to be placed on the merit panel. Candidates below this standard will not be selected, whatever their merit position. Appearing for the interview does not give anyone a right to selection.

The notice says this selection procedure is indicative and may be changed at the discretion of the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur. The decision of the Competent Authority on selection is final, and no representations will be entertained.

Important Instructions
