BMC Recruitment 2026: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, through its Public Health Department, will select 3 Sonologists for a panel at Savitribai Phule Mother and Child Municipal Hospital (Riddhi Garden Municipal Maternity Home), Malad (East), in P/East Ward. Handwritten applications with supporting documents are accepted from 23 October 2026 to 4 November 2026, from 10.00 am to 18.00 (6.00 pm), not counting weekly holidays and public holidays. Applications must reach the Medical Officer’s office at the hospital in Malad (East), Mumbai, by 4 November 2026.

Only sonologists who meet all the conditions below should apply. Your application must reach the office between 23 October 2026 and 4 November 2026, from 10.00 am to 18.00. Posts, Eligibility and Pay

• The candidate should hold a Post Graduate degree/ diploma/ DNB in the concerned subject.
• The candidate should have 1 year of experience after obtaining the Post Graduate degree.

• For the additional qualification, a certificate of registration or renewal with the Maharashtra Medical Council is required.

Age limit: The age limit for doctors on the Sonologist panel is up to 65 years. The notice gives no “as on” date for age.

BMC Sonologist Job Description

• The Sonologist panel is being set up for surgeries of in-patients (आंतररुग्ण) at the hospital.
• Specialists on the panel are to be called for surgeries in rotation (चक्राकार पद्धतीने).
• Sonologists should be available for emergency surgeries as well as regular surgeries.

Selection Process

A total of 3 Sonologists will be selected for the panel. Sonologists will also be selected for a waiting list (प्रतिक्षायादी). The final decision on who joins the panel rests with the Executive Health Officer, Public Health Department.
