About KSSM

The notification’s letterhead describes Kerala Social Security Mission as “a Government of Kerala undertaking to cater to the social security needs of the underprivileged”. The prescribed application form (pages 3 and 4 of the notification) asks for:

• Personal details: name, gender, date of birth (dd-mm-yyyy), age, religion, caste, category and native district, plus a space for a photo
• The district you are applying for (Alappuzha or Kottayam)
• Communication address, permanent address, mobile number and email
• Education: level, stream, subject, issuing authority, year of passing, registration number, result, marks (secured/total) and percentage or grade
• Work experience: name and address of the organisation, the post held, and the start date, end date and duration in completed months
• A signed declaration, with place and date

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

• Qualification: MSc Nursing (Preferably peadiatric Nursing).
• Experience: The notification lists experience as “if any”. It is one of the factors in selection, but the notice does not set a minimum.
• Age limit: Maximum 40 years, as on 06-11-2026.
• Mode of appointment: Contract. The successful candidate must sign a contract agreement with KSSM. The appointment carries consolidated pay and is initially for one year from the date of joining. Depending on the candidate’s performance and integrity, the contract appointment may be extended as KSSM requires.
• Place of posting: Government Medical Colleges, Alappuzha and Kottayam. The application form asks you to name the district you are applying for. The notification does not give a separate number of posts for each college.

KSSM Staff Nurse Job Description

• Recording and maintenance of data
• Helping the Nodal officer in charge
• Data entry in the ‘Mittayi’ online portal
• Ensuring the proper distribution of CGM, Insulin Pump and Insulin to the beneficiaries

Selection Process

The recruitment is for an immediate requirement. Selection will be based on qualification, experience (if any), and performance in a written test, an interview or both, as applicable. Applications that are not complete in every respect will not be considered for shortlisting. Ineligible applications will be rejected, and ineligible applicants may be removed at any stage of the recruitment. In both cases KSSM will not send any further communication.
