Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University (BKNMU) has announced 8 project-based vacancies for Senior Research Fellow, Junior Research Fellow – A9, Field Assistant, Junior Research Fellow – B12, and Project Assistant posts under advertisement number CWCS/03/2026. Eligible candidates can attend a walk-in interview on 28 October 2026, reporting at 10:00 AM, for these purely temporary and project-based positions in Jamnagar. Applicants must complete the online registration form at least 24 hours before the scheduled interview and walk in with a CV, application form, and all relevant original documents with one set of photocopies. The notified fixed and consolidated remuneration is Rs. 42,000 Fixed for Senior Research Fellow, Rs. 35,000 Fixed for Junior Research Fellow posts, Rs. 20,000 Fixed for Field Assistant, and Rs. 30,000 Fixed for Project Assistant.

Posts and Eligibility

The tenure and research projects corresponding to each post are as follows:

• Senior Research Fellow: Duration of 9 months under the project titled “Environmental and Ecological Monitoring in Khijadiya Bird Sanctury of Marine National Park, Jamnagar”.
• Junior Research Fellow – A9: Duration of 9 months under the project titled “Environmental and Ecological Monitoring in Khijadiya Bird Sanctury of Marine National Park, Jamnagar”.
• Field Assistant: Duration of 9 months under the project titled “Environmental and Ecological Monitoring in Khijadiya Bird Sanctury of Marine National Park, Jamnagar”.
• Junior Research Fellow – B12: Duration of 12 months under the project titled “Monitoring the Nesting Ecology of Marine Turtles in the Marine National Park, Jamnagar, Gujarat”.
• Project Assistant: Duration of 6 months under the project titled “Bird Census and Associated Biodiversity Assessment of Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary, Jamnagar”.

What to Bring

Candidates must bring the following documents to the interview venue:

• Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Duly completed application form in the prescribed format, with a recent passport-size photograph affixed and signed across.
• All original mark sheets, degree certificates, and testimonials for verification.
• One set of self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents, arranged in the checklist sequence:
  • Date of Birth proof.
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/General).
  • Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets (Graduation, Post-Graduation, and NET/SLET if applicable).
  • Award or achievement certificates (if applicable).
  • Experience certificate(s) showing exact duration in relevant fields.
  • Publications (photocopies of research papers published in journals with ISSN, popular articles in magazines, booklets, folders, books, or book chapters; accepted or in-press publications are also considered).
  • Certificates for seminars, symposia, workshops, conferences, or trainings attended or presented.
  • Certificates for other activities (sports, cultural programs, etc., if any).

What Happens on the Day

Candidates must report at the venue by 10:00 AM, at least 30 minutes before the scheduled interview time. Upon arrival, registration and document verification will be carried out using the submitted application form and original certificates. The walk-in interview will commence at 10:30 AM.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must fill out a separate application form and submit a separate set of documents for each post applied for.
• All attached photocopies of documents must be self-attested with the candidate’s signature.
• All positions are purely contractual and project-based. Appointments are co-terminus with the duration of the respective project and subject to project funds and terms.
• Remuneration is fixed and consolidated. No additional allowances or benefits will be admissible.
• No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the walk-in interview.
