ISI Research Associate Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) has announced 1 vacancy for the Research Associate post on a contractual basis for an initial tenure of one year, extendable up to a maximum of two years based on performance and funds. Candidates applying for the Kolkata-based position must hold a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or Mathematics with at least one publication in a Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal. The consolidated emoluments are 58000/61000/67000 + HRA category I/II/III as per DST OM depending on qualification and experience. The selection process consists of a Seminar followed by an Interaction with faculty.

Who Can Apply

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or Mathematics with at least one publication in a Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal. Researchers who have recently obtained their Ph.D. degree are also encouraged to apply.

Pay and Tenure

Consolidated monthly emoluments are ₹58000 (Rupees Fifty-Eight Thousand only), ₹61000 (Rupees Sixty-One Thousand only), or ₹67000 (Rupees Sixty-Seven Thousand only) plus HRA as per rules of the institute, depending on qualification and experience in the three categories respectively. House Rent Allowance is payable with the respective emoluments as per the rules of the Institute.
