Essential Qualification
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Computer Science/Engineering
First-class M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in CSE / CS / AI / Data Science / IT / Quantum Computing or allied disciplines; candidates must satisfy DST JRF eligibility through NET/GATE or the prescribed national-level selection process.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Physics
M.Sc./M.S. or equivalent in Physics / Applied Physics / Quantum Science & Technology / Mathematical Physics or allied disciplines; NET/GATE or the prescribed national-level selection process as per DST norms.
Research Associate-I (RA-I)
Ph.D./equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or allied disciplines; OR M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent with three years of research/teaching/design & development experience after the postgraduate degree and at least one SCI-indexed research paper, as per DST norms.
Pay and Tenure
Selected candidates will be appointed on a purely contractual basis. The project tenure is 2 years as JRF, extending to a third year onwards as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) after performance evaluation, making a total of 3 years. For Research Associates, the tenure is 3 years. The fellowship stipend is Rs. 37,000/- per month for JRF, Rs. 42,000/- per month for SRF, and Rs. 58,000/- per month for RA-I. Selected JRF candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani, subject to institute norms.
